So tonight Aly (a guild mate) and I were cleaning up some Zaishen bounty quest, I asked what she had left and she told me she had Rotscale. Now I know I have not seen every little bit of the world that Arena Net has crafted for us, but I do think I know a lot about the game and have yet to be asked about a quests or a mission that I was not able to help with, but when she said Rotscale I was confused, I knew at one point in time an undead dragon by that name haunted the Sanctum Cay mission last time I had done the mission it had been replaced with an unnamed undead dragon. I jumped onto the Guild Wars Wiki and looked the guy up. I found that he was located in Majesty’s Rest and that he was not considered a boss monster. Not a boss how hard can he be?
Aly and I set off leaving from Druid’s Overlook running through the Sage Lands and then to the center of the Majesty’s Rest at which point our jaws dropped, what we saw was a huge undead level 30 dragon. Around him stood 3 or 4 Rotting Dragons and a Dammed Cleric on the cliffs flanking the only stairs up sat 2 Skeleton Bowmasters, behind one of the bowmasters sat a Necrid Horseman. In short we were in for trouble.
We started off taking down the cleric we didn’t want anyone being healed as we attempted to fill the bounty. As the cleric fell so did we. We ran back and focused on the bowmasters as we finished one off we to fell. We run back and target the next bowmaster he falls the horseman is the next target he falls, and so do we. At this point I noticed something I am ashamed to admit I missed, one of the rotting dragons was using frozen soul making it that much harder as when a member of the team fell we could not get him back up. We watched the dragons I figured out which was casting and we attacked. I rushed in with Pain inverter and then Light of Deldrimor. We fall but did the dragon…we get back and sure enough the dragon casting frozen soil is gone and we are now down to Rotscale and one Rotting Dragon. We make our move and drop the last dragon and then focus on Rotscale. We chip and chip and chip away. The wiki says he may have 20K HP we died 3 times and just when we were about to give up he fell. Here sat with full DP and the beast dead at our feet. I for one was very excited and would like to thank Aly for allowing me to join here on he quest.
Of course the lesson of the day is if the two most knowledgeable players in your guild, have no idea who the heck that bounty is for you are in for an exciting battle.

I have been staring at this blank space now for about 20 minutes. I know what I want to say but I don’t know how to start saying it. I had hoped that say that would help me start saying what I want to be saying, in fact this line is also a poor attempt on getting the words to arrange themselves in my head and come out of my fingers. This is typically the case with me, but normally I can write some lines and then it seems to come out and I just erase the lines I used to get me started, but I am not starting. Maybe I should go and start at the middle or even the end. Maybe then the beginning will come and even if it doesn’t at least I have the middle or end for you to read…I can’t think of the middle or an end to write without a beginning to get me there. Maybe I should just call this blog post a fail and move on to the next day.
Have you ever had the chance to look into a mirror facing another mirror? The affect of course is a tunnel going forward leading to what is behind you. This is what I am trying to do right now in my life, go forward by looking backwards. I keep getting told this is not possible and that I should not focus on the past…word just crashed afraid I derailed the thought train…but what I had before was the only time I was truly happy in my life and I cannot help but want that back. I realize that I am never going to reach the end of the tunnel, but isn’t that what life is a journey to what you want in life? A path we set our self on to get that which we most desire. I just happen to desire that which I once had. Let me tell you it is a sad day in life when you realize that all you ever really wanted in your life you had, and now because of your own actions you do not have them anymore.
That is all that came out. There is more racing through my head like a runaway, but that above paragraph sums up most of it with perhaps the most important though of I miss you Brown Eyes. I miss you with every fiber of my awareness, with every cell in my body with every shred of my tattered soul, I miss you.
